Cvs hour photo10/7/2023 Nearly everyone I know lives within a few miles of a CVS. You can only pick up your order in-store (same-day in some cases) for certain items, but it's a convenient option to have. But beyond that, the breadth of their services impressed me: passport photos, home video transfer to DVD or digital, copy/print services, and developing actual film. You want a mug, a mouse pad, a clock emblazoned with your photo? CVS has all that and much more. They offer a huge selection of print sizes, cards, and photo book options ranging from the little 4圆 pocket cutie I ordered up through leather-bound premium lay-flat albums suitable for a wedding. I was blown away by the sheer number of photo services that CVS offers. Impressive array of services CVS Photo Printing review: What I like Yes: Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, and Google Photos Yes, but it's unclear if there are limits It's not just for photos, but you can indeed order your photos and photo items within the app. I don't blame CVS for this if I'd ordered holiday cards, they'd be fine on photo paper.ĬVS does have an app for your iPhone. These cards are of the photo paper variety, so trying to do wedding invitations this was was a mistake. Some photo printing services print their cards on cardstock, while others use photo paper. I ordered both color and black and white prints and they all look as they should. The wallets are the mini-wallet size, with four of them fitting onto a 4圆 sheet. I was happy with the quality of the prints. Very few places do the huge flat box because of cost, I'm sure. Unfortunately, the tube seems to be the norm. I'm confident they will flatten over time, or immediately if I pop the poster into a frame, but two hours with books on the corners did nothing. The prints all look great, although the 20x30 did arrive in a tube, which means rolled edges. It’s $14.99 for 24 exposures.CVS Photo goes way above and beyond when it comes to the photo services they offer. Unlike CVS and Walmart, Walgreens actually publishes their price for disposable camera development. Pickup in: Call ahead to find out When I called my local store they had no clear estimate at all. Price: $15-18 (Varies on number of useable prints) For example, if your camera has 27 photos but only 10 came out usable, it’ll be less than the full $15-18 it costs for 27 exposures. When I called my local CVS, they told me it was “between $15-18.” CVS only charges you for the number of exposures actually developed. CVS disposable camera development pricing is also kind of vague. Make sure you call ahead before going to the store because the local CVS needs special envelopes and not every CVS has them in stock. Like Walmart, CVS doesn’t publish their prices for film or disposable camera development on their website. While I haven’t tested the results personally, I spoke to a photo lab tech in Plymouth, MA in February 2022 who claims Walmart’s CDs include high-resolution scans good enough for printing enlargements. If you want doubles, it’s only an additional $3 or a total fo $14.96. It’s $10.96 per 27-photo disposable camera even if you only end up with say 5 or 7 useable photos. Walmart doesn’t publish pricing for disposable camera development and while as of February 2022 it’s $10.96 at their Plymouth, MA location it may vary by location. While Walmart’s cheapest, it’s not the most convenient option since you have to drive to your local store to drop off your disposable cameras and then return again to pick up your prints 3-5 days later (they’re overnight shipped to South Carolina and back to your local store). Even though Walmart’s known for its low prices, out of all the photo labs we tested they have the best print quality for local prints. Walmart offers the cheapest disposable camera development. 1-hour photo is pretty much non-existent now so you’ll need to bring your cameras to a local store (and they’ll ship them out) or mail them to a lab. Here’s where you can get disposable cameras developed. With the invention of digital cameras, sales of disposables dropped significantly (140 million in 1999 vs 30 million disposables in 2011) and 1-hour photo labs moved entirely remote. You could walk into pretty much any local CVS and be flipping through your photos within an hour. Before digital cameras and smartphones 1-hour photo labs used to be everywhere.
